His 135-yard approach from the rough landed on the left side of the green, leaving a 33-foot-11-inch putt, which he sank to remain at 4-under par for the round.

In the first round of the 2025 Sanderson Farms, Gordon Sargent's tee shot on the 353-yard, par-4 15th hole traveled 348 yards, landing in the right rough 69 feet 1 inch from the hole, his shot from the rough traveled 87 feet 4 inches to the right fairway, finishing 17 feet 11 inches from the hole, and he holed out from 17 feet 11 inches in the fairway for birdie.

Sargent's 45-yard shot from the rough landed on the left side of the green, finishing just 10 inches from the hole, and he made a 10-inch birdie putt.
