Father, Alex, served as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Columbia from fall 2001 through January 2022, in addition to working as a hedge fund manager during that time; he now works as a chief portfolio strategist.

Mother, Elaine, played collegiate tennis at Rutgers University, earning varsity letters from 1990-92.

Parents were refugees of the Soviet Union from the same area but did not meet until moving to New Jersey.

Favorite golf memory was watching the 2005 Masters Tournament playoff.
