Donated his winnings from the 2013 Massachusetts Open ($15,000) to One Fund Boston, a charity established to support victims of the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing. He said of the donation, "I wanted to do something for Boston's victims, but I didn't know what. Then I read what James Driscoll on the PGA TOUR was doing with his Birdies for Boston. I'd never met him, but that really moved me."

Worked in the meat department of Joe Pace (Pa-chee), an Italian supermarket in Boston. Joe gave him a diploma when he stopped working because, "He wouldn't learn as much at Princeton as he did there."

Made a hole-in-one to win a Ford Kuga during the second round of the 113th VISA Open de Argentina presentado por Macro in 2018; he joked with his Argentine caddie he would give him the car if he made a hole-in-one, and kept his word thereafter.

Went strictly vegetarian for roughly a year ("with a couple hiccups") in part because of his wife, Ariel, who is a vegetarian. He tried it out for the first time in 2018 at the 113th VISA Open de Argentina, then again at the Shell Championship -- both of which resulted in career-high finishes at the time (solo fourth and solo second, respectively). He still eats a lot of vegetarian meals and describes himself as a "part-time vegan."

His biggest thrill in golf is "a purely struck ball."

Buckets list includes traveling to Ireland and playing golf at Sand Hills and Bandon Dunes. Favorite course he has played is Pebble Beach.

Fourth member of his family who played collegiate sports; his oldest sister, Ashley, played squash and lacrosse at Harvard University before she transferred to NCAA Division III Amherst College, where she earned All-America recognition in soccer and lacrosse, and played squash; his second older sister, Rachel, played squash and lacrosse at Bates College, an NCAA Division III program in Maine; his older brother, Taylor, was a two-time letterwinner (2001-03 seasons) and captain of the 2002-03 golf team at Harvard.
