PGA TOUR Champions closes out the month with The Galleri Classic presented by Spotlight 29 Casino at historic Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, California. Now in its third season, The Galleri Classic features a loaded field highlighted by seven World Golf Hall of Fame members including defending champion Retief Goosen and fellow South African Ernie Els, who sits second in the current Charles Schwab Cup standings. Other notables competing this week include Schwab Cup leader Miguel Ángel Jiménez and reigning Schwab Cup winner Steven Alker.
PGA TOUR Champions boasts a rich history of golfers in the Coachella Valley. David Duval, who made history with his final-round 59 to win the 1999 American Express, is one of 10 former winners of The American Express competing this week along with Chad Campbell (2006), Fred Couples (1998), Joe Durant (2001), Jay Haas (1988), Brian Gay (2013), Justin Leonard (2005), Corey Pavin (1987, 1991), Mike Weir (2003) and Mark Wilson (2012).
