PGA TOUR Champions heads to the historic Pebble Beach Golf Links in Monterey Peninsula, California, for the the 38th PURE Insurance Championship.
The PURE Insurance Championship features several notable players from PGA TOUR Champions. Ernie Els, the current Charles Schwab Cup leader, has secured three tournament wins and 10 top-10 finishes this season. Els has a total of six victories on the PGA TOUR Champions. Fred Couples, a 14-time winner on the Champions Tour is also in the field. Vijay Singh, who has claimed five PGA TOUR Champions titles, heads to Pebble Beach along with Steven Alker, last season's Charles Schwab Cup runner-up and Richard Green, who came up short in a playoff at last week's Sanford International. Mark O'Meara, a five-time winner of the PGA TOUR’s AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, announced his retirement and will be teeing it up for the final time at the PURE Insurance Championship.
