PGA TOUR Champions resumes in the month of September with historic Norwood Hills Country Club in St. Louis, Missouri, hosting the Ascension Charity Classic for the fourth time.

The Ascension Charity Classic features a strong field of competitors. Steve Stricker, the reigning Charles Schwab Cup champion, currently ranks sixth in this season's standings. He has won 17 times on PGA TOUR Champions and achieved nine top-10 finishes this season. Steven Alker, last season's Charles Schwab Cup runner-up who sits third in this year's standings, is also participating. The tournament includes PGA TOUR Champions veterans Jay Haas and Fred Funk, who have 18 and nine Champions Tour victories respectively. Corey Pavin, a one-time winner on the Tour, rounds out the field of notable players.

In last year's Ascension Charity Classic, Steve Flesch staged a remarkable comeback to claim victory, finishing an impressive 19-under par and setting new 18-hole and 54-hole course records at Norwood Hills Country Club. Flesch, who started the final round two shots off the lead, fired a 9-under 62, including an eagle and seven birdies, to overtake early leaders Kevin Sutherland and Y.E. Yang. Despite a strong challenge from Sutherland, Brett Quigley and Y.E. Yang, Flesch's final-round surge secured his first win of the season.
