Rogers Charity preview: Storylines, how to watch, more
1 Min Read
PGA TOUR Champions heads north of the border for the 12th edition of Rogers Charity Classic at Canyon Meadows Golf & Country Club in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Notable players in the field include Vijay Singh, a 34-time PGA TOUR winner, and Canada's own Mike Weir, who is the International Presidents Cup Team Captain. Ernie Els, the current Charles Schwab Cup leader, and Steven Alker, last season's runner-up, are also heading to Canyon Meadows. Canadian Golf Hall of Fame member Stephen Ames looks to repeat as the second player to win back-to-back events this season since World Golf Hall of Fame member Els did so at the Principal Charity Classic and American Family Insurance Championship. Ames also looks to become the first four-time winner this season. He and Els are currently tied with three wins each.
In last year's Rogers Charity Classic, Ken Duke secured his first victory of the season with his single-stroke victory over Tim Petrovic and Thongchai Jaidee, becoming the 20th player to win on the Korn Ferry Tour, PGA TOUR and PGA TOUR Champions.
