American Family Insurance Championship: How to watch, storylines to follow and more

PGA TOUR Champions returns to Madison, Wisconsin, for the eighth edition of the American Family Insurance Championship contested at University Ridge Golf Course. The field is highlighted by defending champion, tournament host and reigning Charles Schwab Cup Champion Steve Stricker, who hails from Madison.

In last year’s event, Stricker set an all-time record among PGA TOUR-sanctioned Tours for most consecutive rounds of par or better. He had been tied at 52 with Tiger Woods.

Stricker returns this week with top-10 finishes in all but one of his seven starts so far this season, though he has been unable to secure his first victory of 2024 and 18th total on the Champions Tour. Dating to the end of last season, Stricker has made eight consecutive starts without a victory, translating to his longest winless streak on PGA TOUR Champions. Before he can end that streak this week, Stricker will first have to contend with a host of capable challengers, including Milwaukee native Jerry Kelly, who has two wins his last five starts in the event.
