PGA TOUR Champions heads to Des Moines, Iowa, for the Principal Charity Classic, played at the newly restored Wakonda Club. The course, which has hosted since 2013, underwent several changes since last year’s tournament, including rebuilding every bunker and adding five new greens (Nos. 2, 5, 9, 15 and 17).

Two-time champion (2021, 2023) Stephen Ames, who currently sits No. 2 in the Charles Schwab Cup standings, returns to Iowa in search of his third win of the 2024 season. Each of the top five in the Charles Schwab Cup standings will tee it up in Des Moines, including No. 1 Steven Alker.

They will be joined by six members of the World Golf Hall of Fame: Ernie Els, Retief Goosen, Bernhard Langer, Colin Montgomerie, José María Olazábal and Vijay Singh. In addition, this week marks the PGA TOUR Champions debut for four-time PGA TOUR winner Chad Campbell, who turns 50 years old on Friday.
