PGA TOUR Champions closes out the month of April at the Mitsubishi Electric Classic presented by Vensure, contested from April 26-28. Once again, TPC Sugarloaf in Duluth, Georgia, will host the 54-hole event, as 78 players compete for a purse of $2 million, with $300,000 going to the winner.

Tournament host and 2023 Ryder Cup vice captain Stewart Cink eyes his first win on PGA TOUR Champions. The field features the first five players in the Charles Schwab Cup standings: Steven Alker of the United States, Paul Broadhurst of England, Ricardo Gonzalez of Argentina, Stephen Ames and Alex Cejka of Germany.

Ames enters the Atlanta area as the defending champion of the Mitsubishi Electric Classic. He is one of two multi-time winners of this event (2017, 2023), along with Steve Flesch (2018, 2022).

Other notables in the field include Hall of Famers Retief Goosen and Vijay Singh, 2022 Charles Schwab Cup champion Steven Alker and 13-time Champions Tour winner Miguel Angel Jimenez, who finished solo second last year.

In last year's edition of the tournament, Ames broke his own 54-hole record at TPC Sugarloaf by four shots, finishing at 19-under par.
