HUNTSVILLE, Alabama – Per Korn Ferry Tour Rules and Regulations, the 2023 HomeTown Lenders Championship has been reduced to a 54-hole tournament at this time.
Originally scheduled to begin Thursday morning, the first round was suspended until Friday due to fog, as well as forecasted afternoon thunderstorms. Friday morning tee times were delayed four hours due to fog before the first round officially started at 10:25 a.m. CT.
The last 54-hole event on the Korn Ferry Tour was the 2019 BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by TD SYNNEX. In that rain-shortened tournament, Rhein Gibson, winner of the 2023 Astara Golf Championship presented by Mastercard, won by three strokes for his first career victory on the Korn Ferry Tour.
Second-round tee times are scheduled to begin Saturday at 6:25 a.m. local time at The Ledges.
