William Mouw's work ethic was instilled from a young age, and it came full circle Sunday at the Albertsons Boise Open presented by Chevron.

Mouw finished runner-up at the Korn Ferry Tour Finals' opening leg, clinching his top-30 spot on the 2024 Korn Ferry Tour Points List to secure a 2025 PGA TOUR card. The second-year pro from Pepperdine has notched nine top-25s in 19 starts this season; he moved inside the top 30 with a runner-up at the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas Wichita Open in mid-June and has since maintained a top-30 position.

The Chino, California native ranks No. 12 on the Korn Ferry Tour Points List with three events remaining; the top 30 after the Korn Ferry Tour Championship presented by United Leasing & Finance will earn 2025 PGA TOUR status. Mouw cannot fall outside the top 30 and is hence #TOURBound.

"It's incredible," Mouw said Sunday in Boise. "I've dreamed about it ever since I've been a kid; I've been working each day of my career to accomplish this goal ... I'm speechless. I'm very blessed and thankful.

"I love golf, and there's nothing I'd rather be doing ... it's a dream come true."

Mouw's parents Billy and Michelle own and operate Billy’s Egg Farm in the family’s hometown of Chino, California roughly 35 miles east of Los Angeles; they celebrated their 30th year in business in 2022. Both parents were in attendance in Boise, with Billy on the bag for competition, and they grew emotional when reflecting on the #TOURBound moment's significance.

The emotion was palpable for Mouw, who showed promise as a Korn Ferry Tour rookie in summer 2023 via PGA TOUR University, notching four top-25s in his first five starts and advancing to the third Korn Ferry Tour Finals event. He notched two top-15s in his first four starts of 2024, improving his reshuffle position after entering the year with conditional status (T101 at Q-School's Final Stage last fall), and a steady campaign has reached a crescendo with three top-11s in his last four starts, punctuated with a #TOURBound-clinching runner-up showing in Boise.

Mouw helped lead Pepperdine to a 2021 national title in men's golf; he defeated Oklahoma's Quade Cummins, 4 and 3, in their final match, en route to a 3-2 Pepperdine victory. (Cummins ranks No. 9 on the 2024 Korn Ferry Tour Points List and is also #TOURBound.)

Mouw's memory bank is full of good vibes, the latest example coming Sunday afternoon in Boise. The calm Californian has thrived at each step of the journey, with a winning spirit cultivated through resilience that could translate to a successful PGA TOUR career.
