Involved with Butter Cut Country Club, which partners with First Tee chapters in Washington, D.C., Charlotte, Atlanta, and Palm Beach, Florida; the organization created the BCCC Scholarship, which focuses on helping those in the community who are driven and passionate about golf but lack the means to attend Division I camps around the country.
Attended Woodberry Forest School, an all-boys boarding school in Virginia, with a nine-hole Donald Ross course on campus.
Performed live music as a guitarist for a couple years between age 10-13 and "had a promising future as a musician but faded out as (he) grew more interested in golf."
Favorite hobby is listening to music; he enjoys collaborating on playlists with friends and finding songs he's never heard before.
His dad got him started in golf at age five when his family moved into a home adjacent to Talbot CC on the eastern shore of Maryland; he would get dropped off every day in the summer with his golf clubs and a bathing suit and tennis racket and get picked up at the end of the day.
Favorite golf memory as a fan is being a standard bearer at The Honda Classic every year when he was young. Highlights were standard bearing for Sergio Garcia and in the final round when Rory McIlroy won to take the over the No. 1 position in the Official World Golf Ranking for the first time.
Attended the 2011 U.S. Open at Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Maryland, where Rory McIlroy won his first major championship.
Finds inspiration in transcendent athletes such as Michael Jordan, Tom Brady, Michael Phelps, Shaun White, Tony Hawk, and Roger Federer; he enjoys learning about "what makes those guys tick, their habits, processes and mindsets."
Father, Karl, won a United States Tennis Association team championship in 2003.
Has a sister who works in the golf equipment manufacturer industry as a marketer.
Played alongside multi-time Korn Ferry Tour winner David Kocher for two seasons (2016-18) at University of Maryland; he joined the program as a freshman when Kocher was a junior.
