Koepka-Finau (USA) vs. McIlroy-Garcia (Europe)
Koepka and Finau won Friday morning’s match against Justin Rose and Jon Rahm in dramatic fashion. Finau’s tee shot at the par-3 16th bounced off a wooden bulkhead and nestled within 3 feet of the hole. The Americans won that hole, then won the 18th with a par for a 1-up lead. They’ll face two of Europe’s stalwarts in McIlroy and Garcia. Finau made the second-most birdies on TOUR this season (405). He was 45 under par in the FedExCup Playoffs, finishing in the top 10 in the first three events to earn the final Captain's Pick. After winning a point on Friday, Garcia has the third-most points in Ryder Cup history.

Spieth and Thomas, who were 14 when they represented the United States in France at the Evian Masters Junior Cup, gelled at Le Golf National. "We were able to feed off each other," Thomas said after their Four-ball win. "We ham-and-egged it extremely well around this golf course. I don't think we birdied the same hole once.
