PXG release its 0311 ST ('Super Tour') blade irons to the public

Throughout 2019, five-time PGA TOUR winner Ryan Moore has used prototype PXG (Parsons Xtreme Golf) 0311 ST (Super Tour) blade irons. When they were first spotted in Moore’s bag, it was unclear whether Moore’s irons would ever be made available to the public, or whether they were one-off designs made for Moore. Recently, however, Wyndham Clark also put the PXG 0311 ST irons in play, so retail possibilities seemed more likely.
Now, it’s official; PXG’s new blade irons will be available to the public. Golfers can currently reserve their sets, and shipping is expected to begin in late September.
Made for TOUR-level golfers, the 0311 ST irons have narrow sole designs and compact blade lengths. They’re 100% milled from a triple forged billet of 8620 soft carbon steel, and each head is NiCr-plated for corrosion and glare resistance. Noticeably absent from these constructions is PXG’s familiar TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) or subsequent COR2 materials, which have sat between the faces and bodies of PXG irons in the past. That doesn’t seem to concern Moore, however.
"I love the new PXG milled irons,” Moore said in a press release. “They feel incredible, and I have the ability to work the ball exactly how I want to on every shot.”
PXG’s founder Bob Parsons also weighed in with his take on the new irons:
"When we invited Ryan to try our new milled irons as part of the development process, we couldn't pry them out of his hands," Parsons said. "Based on his response, the response of several other outstanding golfers, and our testing, we knew we had achieved our goal. We created a 100% milled, pure TOUR blade that's money if you've got the game."
Speaking of money, the 0311 ST irons are selling for $650 per iron.
