    The Commissionaires Ottawa Open contested at Eagle Creek Golf Club in Ottawa, Canada, marks the 11th of 16 events on the PGA TOUR Americas 2024 schedule and the fifth of 10 events on the North America Swing. 500 Fortinet Cup points are awarded to the winner as the race for Korn Ferry Tour cards heats up.     • Frederik Kjettrup (Denmark) – The No. 1 player in the Fortinet Cup points list, Kjettrup became the first player to win his first two starts on his member tour since 2012 after winning The Beachlands Victoria Open presented by Times Colonist and the ATB Classic; Kjettrup finished No. 8 in the 2024 PGA TOUR University Ranking
    • Ryan Burnett (United States) – Earned his first career victory as a professional at the Bromont Open presented by Desjardins; Burnett, currently No. 8 in the Fortinet Cup points list, was No. 91 at the end of the Latin America Swing and regained exempt status after finishing 3rd at PGA TOUR Americas Q-School in Courtenay, British Columbia
    • Matthew Anderson (Canada) – The Mississauga, Ontario native has not dropped below No. 2 in the Fortinet Cup points list since winning the 69th ECP Brazil Open in April; Anderson, a member of Team Canada, finished T7 at the Explore NB Open and T12 at the Bromont Open presented by Desjardins
    • Stuart Macdonald (Canada) – A fellow member of Team Canada, Macdonald won his first career event as a professional at the 2023 Commissionaires Ottawa Open; Currently No. 10 in the points list, Macdonald has not dropped out of the top 10 since his win at the Diners Club Peru Open in April
    • Johnny Keefer (United States) – Keefer has four top-10 finishes in as many professional starts; Keefer finished No. 25 in the 2024 PGA TOUR University ranking and is currently No. 6 in the Fortinet Cup points list
    • Samuel Anderson (United States) – Anderson is tied for the most top-10 finishes of the season with five; Anderson’s best finish was at the Diners Club Peru Open, where he finished as the runner-up
    • Mateo Fernández de Oliveira (Argentina) – Oliveira is currently the top Argentinian, and the second-highest ranked Latin in the Fortinet Cup points list (No. 13); Oliveira’s best finish of the year was a runner-up performance at The Beachlands Victoria Open presented by Times Colonist

    Tournament history

    The Commissionaires Ottawa Open returns to Eagle Creek Golf Club for the second straight year, following Stuart Macdonald’s win at the inaugural event in 2023. Eight of the nine players who have won on tour this season are in the field in Ottawa. This week’s field includes five players who finished inside the top 10 at the 2023 Commissionaires Ottawa Open: Stuart Macdonald (first), Devon Bling (T2), Brandon Hoelzer (T4), Joey Savoie (T8) and Clay Feagler (T10).

    Fortinet Cup overview

    The Commissionaires Ottawa Open is the fifth stop of the North America Swing, and the 11th event of the season. The 10-event North America Swing is comprised of nine events in Canada and one in the United States. After the North America Swing’s ninth event (CRMC Championship presented by Gertens, Aug. 29-Sept. 1), the top 120 players in the Fortinet Cup will be exempt into the Fortinet Cup Championship (Sept. 5-8), the final event of the season. The season will conclude in Caledon, Ontario at TPC Toronto with the top 10 players in the Fortinet Cup earning exempt membership for the 2025 Korn Ferry Tour season.

    2024 season summary

    Up to 15 Korn Ferry Tour cards are on the line during the 2024 PGA TOUR Americas season – five conditional memberships will go to the top players from the Latin America (Matthew Anderson, Harry Hillier) and North America (3) Swings, and the top 10 players in the season-long Fortinet Cup points list will earn exempt membership.
