The ATB Classic will be contested as four 17-hole stipulated rounds due to the 10th green at Northern Bear Golf Course being unplayable, the PGA TOUR Americas Rules Committee announced.
“Though the Northern Bear superintendent and maintenance staff made great efforts to get the 10th green in tournament condition, we had to make the difficult decision to play 17-hole stipulated rounds this year at the ATB Classic,” said John Slater, PGA TOUR Americas Chief Referee. “I commend the staff at Northern Bear for their continued commitment as we work towards a 68-hole event and crowning a deserving champion.”
Per PGA TOUR Americas regulations, tournaments that consist of at least 54 holes are considered official and Fortinet Cup points will be awarded. The ATB Classic will be played June 27-30 at Northern Bear Golf Course in Strathcona County, Alberta, Canada.
