Scott Hoch makes up one half of a formidable duo at the Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf.

Fred Funk and Scott Hoch have announced that they will tee it up together in what is sure to be a team to watch. Funk, who will be making his first appearance at the event, has been on a hot streak since joining the Champions Tour in late 2006, earning three respective victories plus a win at the Mayakoba Golf Classic at Riviera Maya on the PGA TOUR. The 2005 PLAYERS Championship winner has a total of eight PGA TOUR career wins.

Hoch has had a phenomenal start to 2008, dominating in Florida to earn back-to-back victories at the Allianz Championship and The ACE Group Classic in February. The Raleigh, N.C. native has a total of 11 PGA TOUR titles to his name and won the 2007 FedEx Kinko's Classic in Austin, Texas on the Champions Tour.

Jay Sigel and Dave Stockton have also declared themselves a team. Sigel is widely regarded as one of the country's all-time finest amateur golfers, earning consecutive wins at the 1982-83 U.S. Amateur, three U.S. Mid-Amateur titles and the 1979 British Amateur title. Since joining the Champions Tour in 1994, Sigel has gone on to claim eight titles.

Stockton is a two-time major champion (1970 & '76 PGA Championship) with a total of 10 PGA TOUR victories. He has found continued success on the Champions Tour, earning 14 titles including three majors since his rookie season in 1991. Stockton captained the 1991 U.S Ryder Cup team to victory at Kiawah Island, S.C. and will serve as one of three assistant captains for the 2008 U.S Ryder Cup squad.

Played as an individual stroke-play event over the past six years, the new two-man, better-ball format will bring back the excitement that began in 1978. The Legends Division will remain an Official Money/Official Win competition.

Defending champions Butch Baird and Bobby Nichols will team up again in the Demaret Division, a two-day better-ball format for players age 70+ offering $370,000 in unofficial prize money. Baird and Nichols first played together as a team in 1990 at the Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf at Barton Creek in Austin, Texas. The two have known each other since their days on the Texas college golf circuit when Nichols was at Texas A&M in College Station and Baird was at Lamar University in Beaumont.
